NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - Pfizer Inc. on Friday said it will buy an impotence treatment for $1 billion to help treat patients suffering from erectile dysfunction.
The transaction is expected to close on Thursday, when Pfizer will offer its U. S. subsidiary Pfizer Inc. a $2.5 billion acquisition of the pharmaceutical company in a five-year period.
The Pfizer deal was announced by the company's CEO, Ian Read, in a ceremony at the Pfizer headquarters in New York.
